The Gun COUNTER

“The Gun Counter” is the newest addition to National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic. This portion of the show is an all-encompassing forum to learn more about the tools which hunters and shooting sports enthusiasts use in the field. Manufacturers like Browning/Winchester Firearms, Federal Premium Ammunition, and Winchester Ammunition will unveil their newest product lines. Classic double gun enthusiasts will enjoy the representation of the Parker and L.C. Smith Gun Collectors Associations.
Bird Dog PARADE

A parade of nearly 40 sporting dog breeds will open Pheasants Forever’s National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic 2013 at the Minneapolis Convention Center on Friday, February 15th. From Boykins to Brittanys, German Shorthairs to German Longhairs, Goldens to Gordons, Labs to Llewellins, Springers to Setters, Wirehairs to Weimeraners…Legendary Minnesota outdoor personality Ron Schara will serve as Grand Marshal of the parade. Parade onlookers should arrive at 12:30 pm.
Bird Dog Bonanza

This is the nation’s leading event for bird dog owners and sporting dog enthusiasts. Meet with breeders and the best trainers in the world. Presenting trainers include Tom Dokken and Bob West, and bird dog training’s first family – Delmar Smith, Rick Smith and Ronnie Smith. Popular seminars include puppy training, retriever training, shed antler training and the “Ask the Experts” panel.
Rudy’s youth village

Rudy the Rooster is Pheasants Forever’s youth mascot, and his village is built on the idea that the outdoors and conservation are lots of fun!

Landowner Habitat Help Room

The Landowner Habitat Help Room is where landowners can find out how to improve acres for wildlife and even what local, state and federal conservation programs their properties qualify for.
Here’s how:
  • Bring the legal description of your property (township, range and section) or the ability to pinpoint the property’s exact location on the map
  • Sit down with a trained Pheasants Forever wildlife biologist to look at topographic and aerial maps of your property
  • Free with paid admission to the show
  • You’ll leave with a free wildlife habitat management plan for your land
